Western nations hit back with sanctions for Russia's Ukraine actions

Responding swiftly to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s order sending troops to separatist-held regions of eastern Ukraine, western leaders hit back with a tranche of sancitons Tuesday in hopes of averting a full-blown war in Europe.
The UK has announced a series of sanctions against Russia after it ordered troops into two rebel-held regions of eastern Ukraine.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says his government has taken steps to halt the approval process for the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia over the crisis in Ukraine.

As if Russia did not take into account the sanction that NATO willl put up against them. This scenario has been practiced and been prepared for such scenario. On the other hand I wonder how EU will cope with their sanction since we all know how many of them are dependent on Russian Gas and Oil

Russia has been building up foreign reserves, and their economy has insulated itself to an extent and is relatively self sufficient and has china as a trade partner

When nations invade others like Libya, Iraq or Afghanistan then its for the sake of peace. Whilst the very same invading nations then accuse the likes of russians of not respecting international law, of aggression etc.

The point is, richer and militarily stronger nations typically bully and control weaker nations, and financially abuse them. US and europeans countries do it all the time, and so do the chinese and Russians. There's no difference in their policies.

What annoys me is when theu accuse each other of the very thing they openly do themselves. Its astonishing, how the general publics in all these countries somehow miss the plot, and "stand by" their govt propogandas.

Well..this is a tough call to make for Putin..we all know that, but we need to know both sides
USA and NATO promised russia that they won't add any new members to NATO post the split of Soviet union in 1991 and still added lot of pre Soviet states to NATO..russia is now surrounded with NATO forces ..there is something right on Putin's sides..yes security is at threat for russia with no doubt...St Petersburg is now only 160 km from a nato country...well I pray for innocent people of Ukranian..may God save them ....
