iPhone 12 won’t project to Carplay
I have a 2022 Kia EV6 and an iPhone 12 Pro that CarPlay worked fine with for the past 18 mos. The car only has wired CarPlay. Now the phone won’t project.

Other iPhones work in my car. My phone won’t project to CarPlay in other cars. It’s not the cable, Siri is enabled, not the settings/ privacy.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled my car in my Bluetooth phone settings.
When I plug in my phone the car detects the phone via USB but it won’t project to the car screen.
It stopped working a couple weeks ago so no upgraded to iOS 17.0.3 but it didn’t help.

I also blew out my phone lightning port with compressed air. I have tried everything I have seen that might fix the “phone is not responding” problem but nothing works. What next?

I have shifted from Android to iPhone 15 after more than a decade… car play does not connect at all. I recently reset my car system to check….. but this also didn’t solve the issue.
Now if it’s really about the so called mandatory use of “lighting cable” then it’s a big time sham.
