Everything here is basic but nothing is working for me. I've got my iphone connected, it works fine then just disconnects after the audio cutting in and out rapidly....

Mine goes out while I’m driving out of nowhere in Flagstaff Az, it just goes out and I can’t use maps but when I get to main Phoenix AZ It let’s me load it back up and then here’s the kicker It also starts to glitch out randomly in random certain areas in where It’ll glitch out to where I can’t use maps and it’ll only let me listen to music and it sucks, because Everytime I bring it up to Kia they say it must be whatever one of these reasons that are in this video and then I tell them about the warranty and they say any maintenance and inspection fees you gotta pay jo matter what and it’s sooo annoying with Kia

Mine keeps disconnecting, the phone still charges and the Bluetooth still works but the screen on my car keeps changing from CarPlay (Apple maps etc) to regular car

I believe it's caused by WiFi interference in some areas. Mine happens in specific areas

My wired car play is disconnecting! Every five minutes. I replaced wire three times. It doesn’t stop. It’s a Sony touch screen.

Well, buddy, you just showed us ways to reconnect the phone when it does disconnect. This in no way “fixes” the problem. My phone will be listed as connected on the car and the phone and still my map app will tell me to connect my phone. It was working when I headed into town, now it doesn’t recognize there’s a phone connected. Car and phone up to date. So I guess if someone comes in trying to redo the thing they already did, this might help. As it is, I have to completely delete the device and turn everything off and reconnect now.

I had this problem solved. Was disconneting while moving phone or some bumps on Road.
Solution original Apple USB cable for CarPlay, and for my wife Android phone … expensive USB cable. It seems it has to be really quality wire.

My phone would connect for a few seconds showing the charging symbol on my phone when I turn my car on and then my phone would disconnect and stop charging. I went into the car play setting on my phone and deleted all the CarPlay connections I had with other cars as I had multiple connections and then I reconnected with my car which fixed the issue.

Mine kept disconnecting randomly so after work I went and bought a new cable from best buy and worked like a charm.

A longer cable has more resistance and since the armrest USB is further away could it be there is more resistance and that using a very short USB cable might help? A 10cm cable maybe. From experience with a 2m cable and an iPad you could never use a power hungry app and charge at the same time because the mV had dropped over distance. Just a shot I'm no expert.
