It’s interesting the mantis ant is back. He was the first boss from Secret of Mana on the snes. My copy is coming in the mail in a few days. Looking forward to it coming off a super stressful Wukong lol.

Thanks for your video. I am enjoying Visions of Mana, love the characters desings, scenery, nod to previews games and little dialoges while you travel. Love Ico in the back, Ico is a masterpiece.

I preordered the collectors edition, without a PS5, on the hopes that I can borrow a friends PS5 to play it. And get one later. Great review, as someone that's played all the mana games, the item thing is due to characters being animation locked from the tiniest thing, they queue up the item use and don't get to it before they die, was a big issue in the trials of mana remake too. Also don't make us think of how long ago Secret of Mana was, gods it's been a while...

Yes the mana games are back! I love this series. We needed this game after so long. Keep in mind that Dawn of Mana was not released for us in Europe. The last entry Trials of Mana is the holy grail of the best jrpgs ever made in my book.

This looks like what Dawn of Mana should have been. Didn't look like a terrible game, but didn't look amazing like a lot of the other games in the series, where the game mechanics, graphics, music, and story all come together to make a masterful piece of art.

Trying to beat the monkey game before this comes out, I am really excited for this one.

The plot seems to be similar to FFX (FFX SPOILER AHEAD) with the guardians and sacrificing yourself to summon the final aeon.

Please give Legend of Mana a try! It is probably the best Mana game and the one that really brought in the pastoral/water-color look and style. And Dudbears and Sproutlings. Sword of Mana for GBA is a remake of the first game in the art style of Legend of Mana.

Loving Visions so far. Trials(3D) had kinda bare areas and empty skyboxes, so I am glad the skyboxes and vistas are actually full of stuff in Visions.

This game does sort of run the risk of blurring together with the other 3rd person action RPGs from SquareEnix in recent years.

I read "Square" and "RPG" back when I was what 8 or 9 years old? Mom rented it for me, and I hated it. I didn't understand what an action RPG was back then, I thought I was getting a turn based RPG like Chrono trigger. It was so brutally hard for me at that age. I should go back and try secret of mana.
