With that argument anyone with a rough upbringing would be in jail or doing bad things. It's still on the individual no matter how you were raised

It all comes to personal choice

One always has a choice

It doesn't matter how bad you have it growing up, you still choose.
I grew up with very few memories between birth and the age of 12. I was 12 when my abusive father left. He beat me and my mother. Even though I was arrested 15 times between the ages of 13 and 17, it was because of what I chose to do.

Edit: Everyone replying that my upbringing made me choose to do wrong is missing the point.
Saying that is only making excuses for bad behavior. If you were abused so badly that you don't know right from wrong, then that's different. Most of the criminals who do wrong and blame upbringing are only proving my point. If you're able to blame wrongdoing on something or someone, then you're also able to make the right choice as well.

I disagree with the last thing joe said you always have a choice to do better no matter how tuff your back ground is you only have to do what is right, is it harder to tell what is right with a rough background, yes, but you still have a choice.

That’s not god. That’s man choosing to do those things to each other.

That's the cost of free will. God cannot take that away as that's his method. He cannot intrude. Yet he can. Imagine creating the universe, all its laws and its creatures. Gives us free will and spit on his name because WE cause wars and kill each other over the smallest disagreements. Any one of us would strike back in anger. But not God. He continues loving us despite our flaws. He only wants what's best for us. We must do what we can for others to show we are capable and responsible enough to have earned the free will we've been blessed with.

God didn’t “create” these things. He allowed for human free will from which these things originated.
The question is why did God create free will in humans if He knew their potential for evil.
The answer is that He desired a relationship with a free will being.
He also provided a way of redemption for that free will being and that way required God Himself to stand in the gap and receive the punishment due that free will being.
Once you fully grasp that truth you then become aware of the depth of evil we humans are capable of and just how corrupt and despicable we truly are.
God made a way where there was no way.
For that you should be truly grateful.
What level of awareness do you have of your own corruption and depravity?

Choosing God’s Ways are simply better for you. All these horrible things you see are people not choosing His Way.

As a Muslim☪️ I have the most logical answer for that, which is that life is just a test, if you do good and obey your lord you go to heaven and if you don't then you go to hell.
And also for tsunamis and volcanos and earth quakes, these are natural so why? you may ask, it is obviously not for free will but it is a test, meaning if you endure that test, it is either forgives from you sins, or gives you good deeds (depends on your need) and that also apply on sickness 👍

God loves humans the most cuz we have free will and we still obey him unlike angels

We are a reflection of the decisions that we make.

I lost my little brother after he survived cancer and dealt with several moldy homes while bouncing between parents. It pushed me away from God in my teenage years but that healing only began in my early twenties when I stopped running from God. And by humbling myself first, I asked for the wisdom to understand the things of this world and God Himself. The dots really started to connect after new reflection and learning about science, history, theology and Church history as a whole.

That’s when I began to understand the long game. Christ did not choose “righteous” men with perfect lives to be His disciples, but rather the broken sinners whose hearts He could read and know the potential of. And yet they never knew the everlasting grace that would come with their trials, neither did those who rejected and scorned them. The Western “churches” often struggle to explain this. Instead they preach prosperity gospels, nor can they answer the hard questions.

Rogan I’m 19 yo and the kind of guy you just talked about and I would say that it’s our own choices ofc but we lacked guidance, love and we suffered a lot which leads to a really blurry sight on life and if you start adding drugs to that you’re damn near dying from inside and if nobody comes to save you, you gotta save yourself and create the good version of you out of thin air, hard but possible

He gave the devil free will also for the battle that is now in full effect. He gave everything, in what he has, and gave it to us so we have what he has to give. And now we live it.
