As someone who experiences period pain, went to multiple doctors except obgyn, gotta say all these falls under traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as far as I know. The first pressure point you measure 3 fingers up from your wrist. This doesn't help with pain but helps with bloatedness. You can do it for both hands. Not sure whether the timing is accurate since the TCM specialist told me 1 min but then again, ppl have diff bodies so... Also, there is another point for bloatedness. The line/place where your arm folds, right opposite your elbow, 3 fingers up and there's your spot. If you experience extreme bloatedness like me, you would want to start from one arm first, wrist then the elbow opposite area, then repeat on the next arm. This process would take longer the more bloated you are. If you experience vomiting, it's normal. Just vomit out. You are done pressing only when you know you won't vomit anymore. These acupuncture point are the ones that I know do not hurt when pressed on.

The second point is also mentioned by some online Chinese sources that help relieve pain. This to my experience however, only helps mild pain. I did this once to my friend and she seemed to feel better. If you press and it feels a little sore, that's the point. However when I used it myself, it only helped for the first one minute.

There's one point I used that I felt really works. However you gotta keep pressing it. It's on the sternum. For those who have bigger bone structure, you can feel yourself to find the point. Start from your lowest ribcage and follow it up until it connects into one. When you feel a sudden drop/dip, that's the point. However, if you are petite with small bone structure, the dip is smaller and harder to feel. At this point just press the part of your sternum that's in line with your nipples horizontally. If you get the point right, period pain goes away immediately. This point feels sore when pressed and may be a little painful but it's way less painful than your cramps. You can press this point even when you are not having cramps as well.

If you are the type that can only be saved by the last acupuncture point, chances are you really need to take care of your body. It's most likely gonna be almost no cold drinks nor food in your life. Must avoid all cold drinks and food during period. Do not eat anything cold near the day your period is coming. Have plenty of ginger tea and drink it on a full stomach. Avoid foods considered cold/wet by TCM such as most fruits other than apples, don't eat esp. mangosteen and watermelon, tofu, green bean, bean sprout, cucumber. However, best consult a doctor. I am just a patient sharing my experiences. Hope it helps.

For all of you on here with bad period cramps please please please try this!! Eat Brazil nuts or something high in magnesium every day. Make sure when you’re a week away from your period that you take in more magnesium. It helped me so but I cried because I wish I would’ve known sooner. You can take magnesium supplements but I prefer to eat foods high in magnesium instead. Also if you eat Brazil nuts ( or whatever it is if your choice that’s has a lot of magnesium) eat them before bed it helps you sleep. Magnesium relaxes your muscles. Here's what works for me when the pain increases - eating some light snack or anything, taking a few sips of water, resting in a chair/sofa by leaning back, listening to period pain relief music and basically burping to release gas from the stomach. Because a lot of times, the pain is triggered by gas and empty stomach. And for me, laying down on bed only makes the pain worse.

I will suggest we should apply Coconut oil below our stomach, , , it really helps in periods from pain and cramps
