"What If I Can't Do The Correct Mewing Tongue Posture?"
First of all - don't stress. Almost nobody can do it their first time. I took me over a month before I was able to get the root of tongue against the palate - and look at my incredible transformation.

Did you think transforming your whole facial bone structure would be easy? It takes time. Learn what the proper mewing technique is, and then slowly work your way up until you can do it.

One of the most helpful things I found out when I started a couple months ago was using a piece of gum to make sure I was mewing correctly, I grabbed a piece of gum and made it into a ball. Using the back of my tongue I pushed it to the roof of the mouth and kept it there. This also helped me to keep mewing for large parts of the day as I was always reminded to mew every time I felt the piece of gum in my mouth.

Here after reading about mewing in James Nestors book 'Breath'. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about how nasal vs mouth breathing affects tooth arrangement and jawline. He describes the jaw bones as as having great plasticity through most of life, so you don't even need to be young for this to work. Am starting mewing combined with chewing mastic gum to open my jaw up and promote better nasal breathing.

After mewing for about 1.5 - 2 months, I can say that my tongue is strong enough to mew correctly. At the beginning my tongue hurted a lot and it was hard and I didn't know what to do, but eventually it all just settled. I promise you, just practice putting your tongue at the roof of the mouth. Every time put more and more of the tongue up until you get it.Also, I have a double chin and just mewing correctly lifts it up and makes me look a bit better.
