On 9/11, my dad worked at the FAA. There was a scheduling issue, and his morning meeting at the Pentagon was moved to later that afternoon, ultimately saving his life. I've never been more grateful for disorganization.

My dad was part of that renovation project. He put up those walls to be specific. He would have been there on that day but his team was sent to another project and were scheduled to come back the next day. Him and his company rebuilt that section and reinforced the rest of the Pentagon for the next 10 years.

I have a very good friend who is alive today because of this renovation. Thank you to the engineers who made that possible!

My cousin was in the area that was hit an hour before the tragedy. He had retired but was visiting friends, many of which didn't survive. Between survivers guilt and depression from the loss of friends, he never got over it in his lifetime.

I'm impressed by you not moving your hands around like you were in need of a conductor stick. So much of that on tv today that I change the channel.

After the first World Trade Center attack in late 90’s there was an engineer documentary I watched. I remember thinking damn they just told someone how to drop the towers. The engineers explained how the towers w have to be hit not at the bottom but 3/4 of the way up. The show literally explained exactly how to successfully bring the towers down. I’d be willing to bet those behind 9-11 saw that same documentary.

Science and engineering logistics and design is amazing, so cool to see it saved lives on this horrific day. Hopefully soon they can make blast proof buildings and certain terror attacks woulnt be possible anymore in our country.

"....destroyed the first and part of the second floor...." I don't understand how a 757 only destroys the first floor, when in NY, comparable planes took out many floors at once.

Can someone explain to me why there were emergency fighter jets in Massachusetts and southern Virginia, but not at Andrew’s Air Force base right outside DC?

Weird how the most secure place in the world don't have any CCTV of the plane strike I wonder how many camera's that building has around it and they had to go across the street and dr.up 2 frames wow

hmmm. i would love to see some video footage of the impact from the multiple cameras that were visible in photos of roof of the pentagon. but weve only ever been shown a poor quality video from a local gas station.

as for the PENTAGON, in that huge building this amazing plane (cruise missle) just happened to hit the room where the records were stored the day after Sec of Defense Rumsfeld stated there is 3 TRILLION DOLLARS UNACCOUNTED FOR.

WoW! Impressive how the engineers strategies helped saved peoples lives. I still get chills thinking how awful that day was. I wish everyone peace and those who didn’t make it a restful peace.
