Beautifully said. I am the daughter and great grand daughter of firefighters. It influenced my life to become a Pediatric RN and later a Neonatal ICU RN. I can’t possibly imagine the tremendous courage all those brave souls had to conjure in the moment to rush into such a dangerous situation. The fact that so many were saved is a testament to their sacrifice. They inspired an entire nation and the world to be better, help our fellow man and to appreciate the gifts and beauty in life. It’s taken me 20 years to be able to watch any news coverage on the tragedy. Whenever empathizing with the fear they felt and deepest ocean of grief their families faced, I try to remember that helping each other is how so many survived. It’s still incredibly painful for our nation but we can’t forget. We owe it to all the lost to remember them, perform acts of kindness in their memory and to inspire future generations to continue reaching upwards just as they did.

Of all the years I have been watching your show, this is by far the best. This is what journalism always aims for, the truth. Bravo 👏

It feels like that day marked the end of all prosperity and human kindness…I still cry every time I think about that day.. I was 24 then.. I’m now 45.

I believe it is human nature to protect each other unless you have been brought up in an environment of he/she you me and hate. I remember the day because it was my birthday when I turned 44 I remember watching CNN my sister had just called me from the Mediterranean sea to wish me a happy birthday. I turned 64 yesterday and I feel grateful. And also somewhat apologetic to the world and universe that there is still separation amongst so many human beings. I am sorry to those who have suffered not just through this but through centuries of depravity and ignorance of our true reason to have this privilege on Earth. Many Blessings to all of you. Be safe and diligent for a better understand. ❤️

Scott Pelley did an excellent job on such a heartbreaking & heart wrenching event. May the USA never forget or worse. They demonstrated phenomenal courage and unwavering commitment. As he said, "They climbed to rise—to rise to the cries of those 1, 000 feet above them. To rise to the defense of the firefighter bedside them. To rise beyond duty to a place of selfless devotion." RIP

🇺🇸👨🏻‍🚒👍🏻...Yes, the 60-Minutes Report, which aired on TV tonight-09/12/21 was a Heartfelt one, and it moved me to tears as I watched it. I've watched all of this weekend's TV, & Youtube presentations about the attacks of 20-yrs. ago on 9/11, and I'm grateful for all the Empathy that was expressed in those various Reports for those that Died on that Horrific Day. 👍🏻🕊💞🇺🇸
