Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream and Fried Icecream
Ingredients
3 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp pure salep (optional)
Pinch of salt
4 egg yolks
1 tbsp vanilla extract
For the Fried Ice Cream:
Vanill Ice Cream
2 eggs
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
4 cups corn flakes cereal
Instructions:
Preparing the Ice Cream
In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and 1/4 cup sugar.
In a medium saucepan, add milk, heavy cream, salep salt, and remaining sugar. Bring it to a boil over medium-high (in around 4-5 min).
Once the mixture comes to a boil, slowly drizzle a half cup of the hot milk mixture onto the egg mixture while mixing continuously.
Then return this mixture to the saucepan and heat until it reaches 175F while stirring constantly.
Once the mixture comes to the correct temp, remove it from the heat. Add the vanilla extract and stir. Set aside to cool at room temp.
Pour the prepared cream into a large bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours, or better overnight.
The next day, transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker, and churn.
Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or ice cream keeper, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze overnight.
Preparing the Fried Ice cream:
Scoop large size ice cream balls and place them on a chilled baking sheet. Freeze until firm for around 30-40 min.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and cinnamon until foamy.
In another bowl, add crushed cornflakes cereal.
Roll every ice cream ball first with foamed eggs and coat with cornflakes cereal as shown in the IG Reel. Repeat this process one more time to make sure to cover the ice cream balls completely.
Return the balls to the baking sheet and freeze for 2-3 hours.
In a deep saucepan, heat the oil to 375 F, and fry each ice cream ball for 10-12 seconds until golden brown. Remove from the pan.
Top with chocolate sauce and serve immediately.

Note: You can also make no-fry fried ice cream by mixing the cereal with butter and coat the ice cream with it without frying. You can serve in a similar way.
