I appreciate your updates and video tutorial. It really helped my husband and I decide to buy and they are on sale right now even cheaper @ 59.99! As a side note, I personally would have found it helpful to see what tools you needed to assemble . Thank you for your content !

We built a couple of 8'x4' beds 2 years ago as well. Chose to go with cinder blocks. No, there's no ash or chemicals that leech into soil. They've been making safe blocks for years. Initially, I was worried about the weather affecting the blocks long-term as I, too, live in zone 6b. But a friend who lives in zone 4 (where they experience snow 8months out of the year) has been using cinder blocks successfully for the past 9years. In terms of costs, each block measures 8"w x 8" h x 16"l for $2 each in 2021. We needed 18 blocks for a bed 8" high or 36 for a bed 16" high. The total cost of the bed was $36 or $72, depending on the height. We've also filled the holes in the blocks & have grown flowers, herbs & strawberries, which has been really nice. Lastly, it's been very convenient to add PVC in order to create hoops to support frost covers or insect netting. We've been very happy with our decision.
Hope this helps someone else.

Treated lumber is fine. Its been a long time since arsenic was used in it. Its now treated with copper in the US.

That's a nice easy option! I've been using cedar fence post and get a 6'x3' bed for about $30

Yes! Love this because I never know what type of bed I need - and bonus that it's affordable on Amazon!

I haven't opened my box to see if my beds have the "supporting bars" that go side to side. I don't think I will use them anyway. I will use furring strip stakes driven in the ground on the outside for support. That way I can use my mini tiller without hitting anything inside. Love your videos.

Not using weed blocker won't you have problems with weeds?

Not convinced any imported "galvanized" product is safe for contact with food products due to their lax or nonexistent safety protocols. Same with the longevity. There are many galvanized processes that are utilized in the US. From fully galvanized steel to micro coating. One scratch or blemish and the corrosion process begins. Overseas who knows what controls if any are in place. My experience in the construction trade with 99% of these products is very disappointing. I'm hoping the hardware supplied is stainless.

Thanks for the idea. I am looking for a cheaper way to build and easier way since I’m not to handy with tools. I noticed they rose the price of this bed too

Just came across this video and wondering if these rasied beds are still holding up for you? Any rusting happening to them? The price has gone back down to around $70 on Amazon as of this time :)

Hi Bri, I ordered 4 of these beds using your affiliated link. I just assembled the first one and the nuts and bolts were there but there was not one washer included. Did yours come with washers?
