"If you're not aging, you're dead!" OMG laughed out loud at that one!

I keep saying to myself and to literally everyone I know: AGING IS A PRIVILEGE. We take it for granted, and have come to despise it, but we shouldn't. There are so many people who didn't get the chance to age, and we should keep it in mind.

I had a professor that told me that her wrinkles are proof of the life she's lived and the adventures she's taken and it will stay with me forever.

Thank you, thank you, thank you....I “try” to explain to my peer group (70+) that we will NEVER have the face we had in our 20’s. I want to age gracefully and embrace the changes. Just enhance whatcha got. The beauty industry counts on scare tactics and how you can’t live a full life without the whitest teeth, smoothest skin, colored hair, etc. and they are making a ton of money off those fears. Save your dough and use it to travel, treat the kids/grandkids...whatever. I’m loving this channel!

We need more dermatologists with this thinking. My derm recommended that I get botox in my 20s and that made me more self-conscious and insecure. Thank you for this!

Sixty years old and daily collagen supplementation has FIXED my painful knee joints. When I go off it (ran out, couldn't find it in the shop) my feeling of weakness and pain in my knees when climbing stairs comes back. After a few days on the collagen again, much reduced 'awareness' of my knees when climbing stairs, sometimes it's like being young again. Also my nails got much smoother and don't constantly chip and break. I haven't noticed anything special with my skin since taking collagen, but it definitely does two noticeably good things for my body. I won't stop taking it. I need to climb stairs, and collagen supplementation literally lets me live in a building without an elevator.

You are only as old as you feel…I don’t feel 55. You are so right about not giving a shit! I just started skin care and do it because it my me time and I enjoy it. Other than my dark patches, I think my skin looks pretty good for my age. I don’t stare at the mirror looking for new lines. I want to make sure I use things that are good for my skin so I turn to you. Thanks for making my me time fun ♥️

I am 57 . I tortured /ignored my skin all my life . I just started my skin care journey and am using SPF every day. You are an amazing wealth of information . I am "pro aging" and I thank you for all your help!

I love the holistic discussion. The mentality of aging, the external factors, products to use, etc. This video is a 5 course meal. *chef’s kiss*

I've never met a dermatologist with bad skin - I'd trust you guys with my skin for sure!! I would have thought you'd be in your late twenties, and was SO surprised to hear you're actually in your late thirties!!! x

Kelly Driscoll refers to “anti-aging” as “well-aging” which is a better way of looking at it.

I am 74. My skin looks pretty good. I've never had skin cancer. I have never worn sunscreen. It didn't even exist when I was a kid.
I am going to start wearing sunscreen. That picture of the truck driver That brings home a strong message.
I have some lines. I don't try to cover them up. I don't ever wear foundation. I can't stand it. I have earned my lines.
One thing I have to share. A dear friend of mine wasn't a water drinker. (she's 3 years younger than I am). Several years ago, her face was heavily lined. I explained the importance of drinking sufficient water daily. She started doing that. The next time I saw her, months later, the change in her beautiful face was amazing. The deep lines had softened significantly !

My gramps always said, "when you hear the truth, it can't not make sense...if it doesn't, you're just not listening."
I really like your matter-of-fact, no nonsense, honest approach to your craft.
I subscribed because we share same views on aging and the ridiculous term, "anti aging."
Cheers. You are so refreshing.

I love this anti “anti-age” comment!!! I’ve been saying this for 15 years! I’ve been an Aesthetician for over 25 years and I have never liked the term “anti-age” either! I replaced it many years ago with the term “PRO age”. This more adequately describes what we ALL are trying to accomplish! I want to age well.
Not fight it! Rather FLOW with the aging cycle gracefully but by no means without tools! No I don’t mean injectables or surgery!! Follow this true and logical skincare advice from the good doctor and you will be rewarded with a beautiful complexion you can see and feel- more importantly- if you embrace your maturity you’ll be beautiful from the inside out with your confidence glowing from your eyes!

I started using Bioderma’s Atoderm crème and it saved my skin! It doesn’t have HA 😊 it mostly has water, Glycerin, also little bit of Niacinamide and it’s fragrance free. I used it on my atopic skin🤧 and it worked.
PS: your advice has saved my skin 🥺🥺
