I was born with blue eyes that were so bright, that strangers used to stop me in the street to comment on them. At puberty they changed to green. The same thing has happened to my oldest grandaughter. I'm 72 now, and my eyes are green, blue or grey depending on lighting conditions or what colour eye makeup or lipstick I wear. I'm of irish/scottish ancestry with a touch of French.

I was born with blue eyes, which turned more of a turquoise color after half a year and then faded to hazel around age 5, then they finally settled on being green when i was around 13. And my eyes have stayed that way since.
