This movie is just a heartwarming and chill movie, the movie didn't try to be epic with plot twist and stuffs, the movie is just cute and emotional, i love this movie!

I’m more happy with the ending it was actually perfect the monster battle would have made it more unsettling in the end

Other Pixar lore: *sad or crazy (or death)*

Luca lore: *2 kids want a frickin Vespa*

The current ending is better than the alternate. It didn’t need some big dramatic finale, that would’ve made the movie worse. It’s just a simple movie about two friends joining a competition to buy a vespa, and it didn’t need to be anything else.

The film is pure perfection. So much heart. So many beautiful moments. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I'm really happy they scrapped the kraken idea personally.

Luca's deleted ending, tokens to be used, and the original trio were a step up for the movie. I prefer the final output of the film, since it's dedicated to friendships and the metaphor of feeling different among others. Having a kraken reveal at the end would just recall "The little Mermaid"

All in all Luca's ending is bitter Sweet and heart warming 💙🇮🇹

Her Italian accent is pretty good considering! Wonder if she learned some or speaks it, it was nice to hear someone actually try instead of just using the very Anglicized pronunciations instead

I think having an underwater city could go either way, on one hand it would be a great way to flesh out the world but on the other hand it could take away from the simplicity depending on how advanced it was was.

Honestly alberto becoming a kraken at the end of the film sounds like that horrid steven universe future plot where he suddenly became evil pink godzilla just because the plot demanded something big to happen. Really glad they didn't go with that. I could also see another sea monster kid or two in a sequel-even one where Luca was/is going at the end of the film. I do think they made the right choice to stick to the alberto-luca dynamic because it was adorable, pretty realistic, and well-done.
And I think in the end it's kinda why Julia really can't know sooner. Doing that to Alberto with Julia right there by him made Luca and that whole situation look so much more messed up and sad then it ever could've otherwise.

I’m glad they did the final product! I think it was much more wholesome and gave more room for character development

I liked all the original stuff too, especially the little boat that was gonna be their secret hideout. It looked really cute. But the way the movie turned out is lovely and I wouldn't change a thing.

They should've added the deleted scenes and alternate ending because that would have been very interesting to watch.

You know, the idea that Ercoles “friends” would also be sea monsters and would join Luca, Alberto, and Guilia is both hilarious and somewhat saddening.

Guilia is literally the only human in there group so she would probably be a little bit left behind by all the other sea monsters which are basically upgraded humans.

Definitely glad they focused on Luca and Alberto only, without a 3rd kid, and how they removed the idea of using magical tokens, making the queer subtext much more outstanding and pure (Yes, don't freak out, I know they are mainly best friends in the movie ...) ... but concepts like an hidden underwater town would've been truly aesthetically pleasing and beautiful; last but not least, the Kraken: I'd keep the goodbye scene at the train, but I'd extend the movie with Luca (Giulia too probably) defending a transformed Alberto (even for just 6 minutes), as this would've both added an extremely important moment in their relationship and made the Climax more impactful (since I think the climax we got was a bit weak) ... I feel like some more intense scenes between the 2 boys were needed
