My Favorite Jeep Patriot Upgrades

Here are the part numbers for the OEM skid plates. The fuel tank skid plates will not fit 2WD Patriots as those have a different fuel tank.
5105236AB - front skid plate
5105234AA - right fuel tank
5105235AA - left fuel tank
6104414AA - 4 - BOLT AND CONED WASHER, Hex Head, M10x1.5x30
6104428AA - 3 - BOLT AND CONED WASHER, Hex Head, M10X1.5X65.00
Bolts for gas tank skid plates:
6104424AA - 6 - BOLT AND WASHER, Hex Head, M10x1.50x55.00, Fuel Tank Strap to Crossmember, Mounting
6506644AA - 13 - RIVET NUTS

i used to think doing mods like this to small suvs looked silly, but after actually going on alot of "adventure" type jeep trails, i realised that my vehicle and all the other ones i saw on the trail were overkill for what we were doing and i was easily spending $200 on a daytrip for gas, so ya by all means put a winch on your subaru or whatever you want, its about as much fun by the end of the day

A lot of this stuff you mentioned about being trail rated doesn't have to do with being trail rated. My 2014 latitude came with the front steel skid plate and front and rear recovery hooks.

I have the original MK74 2007 Jeep Patriot. A question - I have the tow hitch on the back corner, and it's indeed screwable in - i've used it. In your video you mention that only trail rated patriots have this? Mine is just regular "limited" version 2.4L 4WD. So, is it a older model quirk or is mine secretly a trail rated one?

Yes you can supercharger it be alote fun but if ur going to do that u should get a chip so you can play with the gas an timing an last get a shift kit in trany an to top it off get a old rear end out of an old jeep an ur be pleased

Hi, what was the problem with your old big tires ? 235*75*16 ?
I would put 215*80*16 on mine, bad idea ? Lifted and spaced.
