I saw this Patriot and just assumed it was an automatic. I was so happy to see it was a manual. Basically that is all that saved it for me.

We bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport FWD new in November of 2013. It doesn't have the CVT, it has a 6-speed PowerTech automatic transmission with Auto Stick with the 2.4L engine. We now have 147, 800 miles on it. I do all of the maint service on it and since new, so far I've replaced, the drivers side spindle assembly (bad bearing, the drivers side rear wheel bearing, the radiator and the filler neck in the top radiator hose. We live in North Georgia and for us it's been a great vehicle.

I bought a 2015 jeep patriot. A few minor issues but it’s an amazing vehicle. Great in the snow, good mileage. I agree with the spark plug issue though, but just keep up maintenance and you’ll be good. Love my patriot! No cvt. Automatic. Sport.

I have a 2014 with more than 200K on it. 2.4 CVT Transmission. Just regular maintenance.. I live in the south so not dealing with the sub frame rust issues.

My opinion is to buy it! I just purchased a 2014 Patriot 4x4 5 speed manual also a week ago with 159, 000 miles for $4, 000. I agree this would probably be the more reliable drivetrain. So far I had to replace the sparkplugs because of hesitation during low end torque. It drives very well and havent noticed any issues with anything other than the sparkplug issue which is common on these 2.4's. Because I live in the rust belt I plan on keeping the subframes well oil coated to protect them from rusting. I plan on installing a tow hitch because I use a utility trailer every so often. Overall, cheap to buy, useful 4wd and fun to drive!

I have a 2008 5 spd with no air or any other extras. 150, 000 kms but the body is rusting at the rear wheel wells. Engine runs great, has good power and pickup and no electrical issues. No complaints.

Zero Electronic issues so far. I am the 2nd owner of a 2014 jeep patriot "North" edition. however the fuse box located under the hood to the left of the driver position makes a sound that might sound like a serpetine belt but its not. Its actually the air compressor (aC) causing vibrations to the box that houses the fuses. When the car idles it squaks. I also noticed these are prone to a transmission leak especially on the CVT but why are Lines ran the way they are its silly.

In the UK most of these have a 2.0d from a vw wich isn't anyone's first choice but getttin away from that 2.4 an cvt seems the best way to get out of problems

I've got a 2014 Jeep Patriot with 164, 000 miles. Had it since new, no engine or transmission problems yet. Biggest problems are control arms don't seem to last all that long, and I had to get the throttle body replaced twice already.

I have a 2016 patriot with 50, 000 miles. I've had seized calipers front and back. EVAP issues. Spark plug issues. It's been a nightmare.

I have a 2007 with 5 speed manual and the 2.4 motor. 324, 000 miles. Transmission rebuilt at 200, 000 and is now out again.

I have the 2016. Had an issue with a seized caliper that took me forever and 1 new caliper and 2 rotors later to figure out what the problem was and how to fix it (new brake line and loosening the clip a smidge fixed it). Other than that just regular maintenance type issues

Vibration while idling is annoying. Is this a known issue for 2015 Patriot Sport?

The CVT transmission is horrible. We had 3 different ones for company cars. All three lost their transmissions at around that 150k mark. The replacement transmissions are no better!

I have a 2011 Jeep Patriot latitude X automatic 2wd. My wife bought it new before I knew her. I have inherited it. It’s got 132k miles on it. Runs great. I hate the car as it’s slow and zero technology in it. However I can’t complain about it as it’s just keeps driving. Only major issues was I did have to recently replace ball barring.

Hi. I have a 2015 patriot 2.4 automatic is running good. That only problem I have for 4 years is de suspension and body rusting I have in the rear fender . I do my own macanic work. Wish I saved money on that. But in the future I going to buy a real Jeep. Thanks.
