Also bro, use wire wool and a metal polish called peek. Super cheap way to do the stansions with an incredible outcome 🤙 it’s thinner than autosol but thicker than braso 😂🤙

Thank you for this video. I have a Huffy Trailblazer full suspension mt bike that I'm trying to learn how to clean, fix & rebuild (after it was left outside all winter long through this most recent Idaho winter...has some rust, but someone told me it should clean up pretty well because it was only outside for one winter). But I'm trying to learn as much as I can about fixing & restoring bikes because I've loved bicycles my whole life & some of the older bikes out there still got some life left to 'em!

*Was a perfect mix of value **Latest.Bike** and functionality for my 17 year old. Priced better than Mongoose with same build quality of better.*

I've seen guys use scotch bright on hydraulic pistons that have pitting. Might want to try that instead of sand paper sometime. Like red scotch bright for auto body I think.

Fine steel wool does wonders for rust removal on forks w/o scratching the stanchions to buggery ;-)

Hi thanks for the video... I have a very old fork which came with a trek 4100 from 2001. The brand on the fork says InSync and the model is called Grind 320. InSync seems to not be around anymore but the company that I think used to make them now makes forks under the name of Spinner. And Spinner could not help me. In all the videos I have seen about taking apart basic forks the allen nuts near the wheel hubs at the bottom of the fork are long bolts. In my shock it is an allen nut which just screws off the thread. I cannot pull the fork off the stanchions. Is there anyway you could help me?

This is great! Thank you! Honest question for you or anybody else, is it worth it versus just taking it somewhere and paying?

Thanks for instructional video. How long did that roughly take you to do?

I have a zoom fork. I need to remove the blue switch for lock out. How to remove it I tried a flat screw driver but it seems it is deforming blue plastic. Is it mounts from inside?

I would think someone will strip the thread 😂

What do you do if you forget to lock it? What is the best way to put back?
