How to Fix your Laptop

Repairing a laptop may sound like a brain surgery, but in fact it is more like a nose job if you are careful. With some experience, you can fix wires, connectors or cooling fan easily, or not. It could be worth a shot!

Quick safety tips: 1) avoid getting a vacuum too close to your motherboard because it builds-up lots of static and there's a risk of ESD damaging components - a hand-pumped blower's safer, and 2) insert something through the grill to hold fan still when you blow it out because if you turn the fan backwards fast enough it can create a negative current and damage upstream components. At least that's what I've always read; if I'm wrong please correct me!
