Shard Spiral is an absolute banger!
Especially against big targets.
Can stagger, too.

The 2 spells that carried me through the game's bosses as a pure sorc are Rock Sling for early game and Shard Spiral for late game. And maybe Loretta's Greatbow for utility lol

Replaying at the min with a moonveil build, I have to say Loretta’s Greatbow has been a life saver. Whilst it’s really circumstantial, it has helped me no end with aggro bosses/enemies from far away and then getting them to head towards me whilst casting magic glintblade. Also made the sorcerer in the carian study hall so much easier than my first playthrough. Not sure if there is a better version of the bow spell later on or fingers crossed maybe in the dlc.

My fave is defo night comet. This is my kill everything spell. Bosses and large targets get either rock sling (mobile) or comet azure. Canon for mobs. Job done.

Im level 150 and my spells don’t do much against enemies compared to sword skills.. could this be because of the staff im using ? The sorceries seem pointless to me and my int is one of my highest specs

Thank you I decided to do a new build and of course waited last minute to start prior to dlc and wanted to try a spellblade/int build

When I quit playing
I had a 138 mage that could stomp the world.
Now I can barely kill a single mob in the beruit castle.

To be fair arc's aoe only occasionally hits more than 1 enemy. It's good for early moving enemies as they still get caught up in the aoe.
