Hi Mr PreMath my Maths teacher always taught us used the simplest methods to solves the problems otherwise U’ll run out of times for the Tests or Examinations.So for the simultaneous equations the best by Factorisation easier solutions for this’s (3X+2)(X—6)=0 then 3X+2=0 so X=—2/3 ;next (X—6)=0 so X=6 Ans X =—2/3 or 6.

A=3, B= -16, C= -12, A•C = -36, B=16. —— Two numbers when multiply to each other gives -36 and when add gives -16. That would be 2 and -18— —- 2/3= 0 and -18/3 = -6. (Solution 2/3, -6)

Factoring (first learned in Algebra 1)
3x^2-16x-12=0
(3x+2)(3x-18)=0
(3x+2)(x-6)=0

3x+2=0
3x=-2
x=-2/3

x-6=0
x=6

Solution Set: {-2/3, 6}
