One small nitpick I have is that in Gen 8 Urshifu’s dex entry states that it’s from the mountain(s) of Sinnoh. And yet in Hisui we never encounter one

I agree on all except the starters. Hisui starters just feel better. Especially Hisuian Samurott. Absolute beast in battles.

H-typhlosion is the only one you could argue is worse than its sinnoh counterpart battle wise.

Samurott is a menace right now cuz of sharpness and all the mons it counters.

Decidueyes triple arrows and scrappy makes it pretty threatening in the right circumstances. And it has a more diverse moveset

I mean, Typhlosion-H is a popular Scarfed Eruption spammer and Samurott-H is a nice spin on Samurott that lets it set up spikes while doing pretty good damage (and is unblockable by Gholdengo). I don’t really know how well the sinnoh starters performed but I do know that Infernape was at least somewhat decent and I haven’t heard much talk of the other two

No... no they are not. Infernape is good but it cannot compare to H typhlosion and H Samurott (currently in OU)

HARD disagree on everything except Garchomp. PLA is one of my all time favorite Pokémon games. I’m 36 and have been playing since I was 10. I truly enjoyed the twist on the core series and the gameplay. Starters were amazing! The agile/strong style added a lot to the turn base battles and the sneak mechanics and also being able to catch Pokémon outside of battle and also be attacked by them… just so much added and I loved it all! It’s the first of the Legends series so I cut it some slack while it finds it’s own identity but I wish it had been given a larger dex, map, characters and also much more online team and pvp options. I lovelovelove PLA and while I love the classics, it was an upgrade in so many ways.

Garchomp is great but it's overrated. I feel like a lot of Sinnoh Pokemon are overrated especially Staraptor and Infernape, my least favourite Pokemon (Chimchar is). And Sinnoh is my second favourite region (I'll always love Kalos).
