I liked how the anime portrayed this moment as sadness rather than excitement for Sanji’s power buff. They did a great job to display who sanji is as a character.

I like the sense that as good of a power up this is for sanji, he doesn’t seem happy about it, as when he remembers this might be Germa’s enhancements, you can see he’s almost looks terrified. His character development and backstory is top-tier

I find it funny that Sanji was able to light his leg on fire and walk on air and most of us never thought of it or just thought friction for so long and only Queen questioned it

When you realize that Sanji was never a failure. He was actually the perfect experiment. He’s got an exo skeleton and speed that exceeds the limits of his siblings, but he kept his emotions. He’s the perfect experiment.

I feel so bad for him, I know it was done so he could fight on the same level as Luffy and Zoro, but it's devastating to have something so traumatic consume you like that. *spoiler?* Luffy and Zoro both had a similar awaking during all of this as well, with gear 5th and Zoro's conquerors haki awakening, but Sanji's is the only one that feels Luke it took something from them. Luffy loves 5th gear, and Zoro may not even entirely be aware of his CH, but Sanji knows what's happening and it's causing a trauma spiral that the last thing his mother did to save him, still ended up not working in the long run

not only he got the same powers as his brothers like his father wanted but he was able to keep his humanity like his mom wanted, talk about the best of both worlds.

This went against the grain in the best way possible. They didn't do a classic (I guess) power up scene where he dodges at the last second and instantly knows how to use it. He took the hit and you get to see very clearly what his power up meant to him and just how strong he got by taking the hit

I love how pretty much every Straw Hat is getting an upgrade this arc, and Sanji's the one who's the most afraid of his.

What a scene. Not sure if he feels anger for that fact that he's bound by his family with the same "freak" enhancements, or that he's feeling huge frustration knowing that he had hidden powers all along but was bullied throughout his childhood for the lack of them. Could be a combination of both

0:25 I assume that Sanji's Raid Suit has accelerated the awakening process of his Germa Enhancement Powers that has been lying dormant within him for years despite having retained his human emotions. Can you really blame Sanji for fearing of becoming a monsterous, emotionless killing machine like his 3 brothers?

I like to think that despite his power boost. He doesn't really have anything to fear as he was not turned into a sociopath like his brothers. His emotions/passion is what drives his powers and strength.
Sadly, it's understandable that this isn't a hype moment as he now feels like he is becoming a monster. At least he has a better family now that will help him instead of that vinsmoke guy
