If you can relate, you are probably not a psychopath.

They also have a covert personality/habit that includes sadism. They're incredibly good at switching roles between abusive/evil and passive saint. They can give you amnesia sometimes.

If someone you know breathes, they _may_ in fact be a psychopath.

I think bottled up feelings can also happen when someone has grown up in an abusive environment not able express their feelings.

I've been studying narcissism and many of these traits seem to apply there too. I wish I could get clarity on the differences between psychopathy & narcissism.

I really think you (like millions of other people) confused psychopath with narcissists. Although there are some superficial overlaps, your videos perfectly describes a narcissist. Psychopaths can be quite chill and even not-power-oriented too. But because of fearless dominance and manipulation it's easier for them to accept the power people give them, instead of refusing the power.

Having dealt with a true psychopath, I have to say this video misses a great deal. Some of it appears to be nonsense. It also seems to be oriented around one small study of a small number of psychopaths and focuses on a strange set of behaviors. If you think you are associated and affected by a psychopath, it would be much better to review one of the standard tests, which are easily available online. Most of the mentioned behaviors are things that many people do. If you are really concerned, answer these questions: 1. Can the person turn on charm like a switch? 2. Do they do what they want, without taking into account the affect on other people, or long term consequences? 3. Do they seem unable to take any responsibility for things they do that cause harm? 4. Do they seem to believe that it's every person for themselves, anything they do to get ahead is justified? 5. Do they lie easily? 6. Do they seem never to feel remorse? These are some of the true indicators. If you meet one of these people, God help you.

The laughing when you want to cry does not make you a psychopath. That’s a nervous reaction. Laughing and crying are very similar responses. I was in a movie theater once watching an incredibly sad story and I was crying so hard I was to the point of sobbing loudly, I actually started laughing.

A lot of these behaviors are normal human things everyone can do once and a while, but all these traits put together at the same time may be what indicates a psychopath. Like a narcissist, everyone has narcissistic traits but aren't necessarily a true narcissist.

To be honest, I don't see how psychopaths differ much from selfish people according to this video, you know.

I just understand why I would not want to show my emotions. This isn’t psychopath. This is a way people grew up. There people who were told to not show their emotions. This can be extremely painful for the person because another thing is that they were ignored and they expect everyone to ignore them or never show love or caring.

When you're emotionally homeless. And as such ostracized. You may very well feel as though everyone in the world is against you. Not all homeless people are alike. Some lash out. Some sit alone quietly.

I've been around a guy who felt like a psychopath. The guy could throw his personality easily, it was like a light switch for him. He pays close attention to your facial expressions and gestures and responds appropriately. He talked about murder frequently and described it correctly. Its absolutely horrifying how good he is at getting you to trust him. And he's openly expressed how humans mean nothing to him and he's had various mental health consultations. He scares the fuck out of me!!!
