The biggest thing helping Cal is his Dark Sider girlfriend. Merrin offered to teach Cere to channel the Force like the Nightsisters. If Cal keeps tipping over to the dark she may teach him her magic to help him control it. Then he can use both sides safely.

All Jedi must face the dark side, but how they get through it determines their destiny.

People truly underestimate how hard it is to be able to find a balance between the light and the dark side. The only Jedi in (with the exception of Revan of course) the entirety of Star Wars that was able to even come close to this was Mace Windu and even then Windu used his emotions to fuel his strength sparingly. The best Cal Kestis would be able to do would be something similar to Mace but considering that he lacks the experience and the guidance it’s more likely that he would completely succumb to the dark side. I think the most probable scenario would be Cal being able to conquer and destroy the dark side within himself and completely re attune himself with the light side once again, similar to Cere Junda

Merrin will be key here, nightsisters have a unique relationship with the dark side, they use it but anchor them selves with loyalty, love, family etc to prevent them selves from passing the point of no return.

I think he'll get even closer to falling into the dark side in the next game, but find balance. God I hope Merrin doesn't die. Jedi should have the free will to have some attachments.

I think the best option is to have 2 endings where we can walk the dark side or stay true to the force and control both light and dark it would also be cool to add lightsaber forms because cal's skills are a bit weak at times

They need to make the 3rd where u choose if he falls to the Dark side or not that whould be epic and then the next games make u choose in the start if he fell to the dark side or not and continue it from there who else whould love that!?!?!?

I predict that the 3rd games story will revolve around the hidden path, and cal battling his darkness. But at the end of course, he ends up successfully resisting it.

I think Cal would become a balance between light and dark like mace and unlock potential to probably be a similar match between jedi in high republic era tho I don't think he'll be powerful like a master but it's only matter of time

In the next game I’d just like 2 things story choices (force unleashed 2 was tiny compared but it atleast had a good/evil ending) and I would like to see cal maybe learn some night sister magic they already gave cal the ability to teleport it would be cool to see it introduced into combat

I fundamentally disagree with the dark side Cal thing in the game. He isn't a character that will fall to the dark side. He's a Jedi through and through. That was what the first game was about was him standing his ground and saying I will not be consumed by the dark side. I even refused to use the dark side powers in the game.

I would love to have the option to chose to embrace the dark side or not like spiderman web of shadows. Get some replayability with multiple endings. Don't kill Merrin tho please 😭

Jedi Survivor was a working example of why Jedi must practice detachment. Bode was powered by egoism and fear. Jedi training increases connection to the force, sensitivity. Bode would either eventually lose that connection or be drawn deeper into the dark side.

And now, Kata. It was a bit disturbing watching the end of survivor. How Merrin and Cal were trying their best to be kind to her. But you can't just... roll up as the Sheriff, shoot daddy, and become the kid's teacher. Their adoptive parent.

There's EMOTIONAL DAMAGE there. Cal is inherited UNQUALIFIED to train Kata. What is Cere thinking telling Cal to guide her through the darkness. Kata needs to be far far away from him and NOT trained in the force. Kata needs THERAPY.
