I think him embracing the dark side while maintaining his connection to the light is a good metaphor for cal's humanity and represents a turning point for jedi. No longer bound by the jedi code I think this balance between light and dark could be what will make Cal one of the most powerful jedi we've seen after order 66 as his story develops.

Like someone pointed out in another comment section, the Game series fits perfectly as a trilogy since it has the template of the movies: the first Game was about starting the adventure, this one involves a love story and maybe the third Jedi Game will focus on Cal’s struggle with the dark side and will be heavily featured

As soon as the background went red when you're meditating I knew something was up. I hope he gets even darker. Force choke or lightning would be sick. And his rage mode makes him so much more stronger. Like bigger enemies can be forced pushed from cliffs now and normal B1 droids won't be sliced from his lightsaber but completely force crushed.
