Made one mistake!! The units in split phase configuration can be paralleled to use a single battery bank. My bad!

And yes, add 8000W of solar panels if you have it. I just want people to know that it will not be charging with that much power, and that makes some people feel ripped off. I have seen people complain about this quite a bit. Some people feel ripped off if it cannot charge with the full output that is on the sticker.

It also depends on what kind of panels you are using and where you live. Some have better output than others. Some pull 100% of STC output, others only 80%. So use your brain and think about it. I am just here to set the expectation so you do not waste your money.

Also if my garage was flooded the enclosure actually lifted the wiring and batteries off the floor. So it would be fine. But I really did not want to put 300 lbs to a single stud. Seems like a bad idea

Your videos made me realise I dont need to pay crazy $$ for a tesla. So I just completed a 48v 10kwh aliexpress 'powerwall'.

Cheers.

I like the battery form factor where it's tighter to the wall and server racks stick out and take a lot of floor space

keep showing different options. most of us do not have the means to buy more than one system so your testing and reviewing of different types helps us to make a choice that fits our needs.

AIO units def aren’t for everybody, but for those who aren’t comfortable with understanding and maintaining assorted component systems, things like this are appealing.

INB4 everyone else.... Hope you had a great weekend doing this for us to watch and learn about, if one ever plans on doing solar power storage.

Thanks, Will! I'm sure you are tired of hearing how everyone appreciates your honesty but it certinaly helps so much. I have a couple of refrigerators and a small freezer I want to be separated from the house and this would work great. I have some Amateur Radio equipment on it as well. Thanks Man Really good stuff.

Love that you are looking at more turn key setups. Would like to see you review the HomeGrid stackd line. Seems pretty competitive given the simplicity of using them.

Proprietary is a non starter for me.
Have to be able to add different batteries if necessary.
Thanks for all the great videos :)

I really like these. They are much more compact and fully enclosed. There are several of these out there. SunGold Power has a 10kwh one with slightly lower specs for 1/2 the price.

U r right Will... This unit for small house backup or small cabin. I actually follow u on the growatt... 15kwh server rack. Then change to EG4 6500 for more power and it have air filter out dust. Love it. I bought more solar n batteries cell put together 16s 15kwh, total 30kwh 5kwh solar. Plan to buy 2800 more solar because the weather change now, more cloudy in San Diego CA. Will upgrade to 60 kWh batteries. 4 person family and a Tesla M.Y. without Tesla 30kwh battery n 5kwh would be ok. Thanks Will.

Yes Will I like the neatness of the all in One but because the parts are not interchangeable its a "NO GO" for my off grid home....Thanks again Paul

Thanks for all the great info. I’m building a cabin starting this spring and have been following your vids to get some ideas of how to set up my system. I like the variety of system deployments you show. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the review. I find it totally unacceptable to be locked into one single "ecosystem" for everything - even if the company were in no danger of going under, it has you over the proverbial barrel for wealth extraction when it comes to expansion, upgrades, replacement of batteries, or repairs/maintenance. As you say, it's definitely NOT for everyone.

240VAC split phase is a must if supplying a building. Philosophically, PV supply and battery backup are two systems that should be packaged separately; keep voltages separated and provide tactile-reliable service disconnects for each device from its AC and/or DC bus.

Form factor is good - I don't mind the way it looks if it's not in my living room. Seems like kind of a pain to setup given it's an all-in-one. I won't be surprised if the add a safety interlock for when the cover is removed - super easy to implement. That said, there are all sorts of things in existing residential power systems that will shock you if you remove a cover - even just a standard receptacle or a light switch is a shock hazard with the cover off.

Not a bad price for what you get.
Although It cost me to get away from proprietary batteries for expansion on the Ecoflow but now I just run my eg4 through the Ecoflow.
The size and foot print of the Rich is awesome if you are tight on space.
Again everything is changing so fast in this market and the choices available now are awesome.
