In just 48 hours, I’ll be disconnecting from the modern world and going completely off-grid for 7 days. This is a challenge I’ve never undertaken before, and it’s time to test my limits while living off the land, relying solely on my survival skills and gear.

During this time, I’ll take you along with me through daily routines, from starting a fire in the cold mornings to preparing meals using my fully-stocked campaign box. I’ll be documenting my entire experience, and for those who want to join me on this journey, I’ll be live-streaming my morning routines exclusively for members. Together, we’ll embrace the simplicity of off-grid life and reconnect with the essentials of nature and faith.

What You Can Expect:

7 days of off-grid living in a canvas wall tent
A deep dive into the gear I’ll rely on, including cookware, camping tools, and off-grid power systems
Morning rituals: fire-starting, cold river dips, and survival tips
Personal reflections on faith, simplicity, and the challenges of disconnecting from everyday life
This journey isn’t just about survival; it’s about spiritual revival and a return to basics. If you’ve ever considered going off-grid or just need a break from the rush of modern life, this will give you an inside look at what it takes.

Key Moments in the Video:

A breakdown of the custom campaign box that holds all my gear
Restoring and using a vintage Coleman stove and Griswold cast iron for cooking
Prepping for seven days of off-grid living: from food planning to gear setup
A special announcement about an exclusive body armor giveaway coming soon
Reflections on going off-grid and why now is the perfect time
Throughout this experience, I’ll also be focusing on a spiritual and mental detox. Every morning, I’ll spend time in prayer, reflection, and cold river dips to reset and re-center. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, this challenge is as much for you as it is for me.

Let’s embark on this off-grid journey together. I’m excited to see what these next seven days hold and hope you’ll join me for the ride. Be sure to subscribe and stay tuned for the full adventure!

I say leave the stove alone. Functional + patina = perfection! Basically all of so cal is burning. Well over 100, 000 acres burned. Hopefully, my mountain cabin makes it!

when it comes to cast iron cooking, I learned everything from Kent Rollins and his youtube channel. He was a winning contestant on Grill Masters, has plenty of cookbooks that can be found at cabalas (Bass Pro Shops), and his youtube channel shows how to season and maintain cast iron. But most importantly, he is not some rich chef trying to spread his clout. He's just a Christian man who has worked as a camp cook on a ranch for many decades and just wants to share what he loves doing, just as Mr. Wranglerstar does here. So if you you or any of your fans want a good channel to watch to learn how to cook with cast iron, by someone who ISNT just in the business for money, then I cannot recommend "Cowboy Kent Rollins" enough

Great job rehabbing the old Coleman stove. Its a survivor, it needs to stay just the way it is.

Little trick I picked up from my elders. Spend some time sanding the inside of the new modern cast iron pans until the surface is completely smooth. Then clean and season. Makes the modern cast iron more like the older style smooth castings

I got my first zippo from my father the other day. It’s well used and golly, it is gorgeous! I’ve found use for it at least once every day and I love it. It will be a staple piece in my edc until the day that it either gets lost or I pass it down to my own son.

Additionally, the rustic, well used yet well taken care of look is far better than a newly painted look. Love the videos and wanted to share with you and anyone that reads this a verse from the Bible that has stayed glued to my mind. Joshua 1:9. The verse says “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Ive found it is a great reminder when facing challenges throughout my life such as an upcoming test or a game.

That’s all. Have fun on your vacation.

Oh wow!! I have a griswald waffle maker too! It was my grandmothers. My sister had it for many years. I didnt even know anything about it. Well i got my grandmothers wood cookstove from my sister a couple years ago. Also didnt know she had that. After she gave me the cook stove. She gave me the waffle maker. They are both prized possessions. I actually cooked dinner on the wood cook stove tonight.

Hi Cody, I love the years of patina on that beautiful Coleman. The love you already put into the functionality is perfect.

Loving this content, Cody! I'm a pretty simple guy who could live permanently in a set up like your war-band camp.

When I was scoutmaster with the local troop ( before they went PC crazy), we had camp boxes like that, about the same size. We had 2x4 legs that fit on the sides so they would stand up at camp for the boys to use. Each patrol had their own box.

A “Dutch “ oven would actually have legs on the bottom and a lipped flat top so that coals can be placed to actually bake, providing heat from both top and bottom.

Maybe build an outdoor shower stall? You could use an army canvas shower bag on a hook. An old East German farmer taught me the importance of a good cold shower.

As far as the stove goes, leave the green exactly as it is. Touch up or repaint the red tank if you wish. 👍🏼

That's a beautiful house! Strong rooflines, proud soffits, dormer contrast, board and batton, reveals almost like entabletures etc. Very nice. Very different looking. Great architecture.
