I don't even know why I'm watching this 'cause I already know how to drive manual and have been doing so for quite a while now but this is very informative and entertaining. New drivers need to watch more of your videos. Cheers!

I’d just like to say thank you to this channel. I passed my test 3 years ago and didn’t get my own car until now. When I did I found myself stalling constantly, hills were impenetrable. I wondered why, and spent about a week watching your videos. Now I don’t stall at all, I’m much more comfortable with the clutch. Thanks a lot for ensuring my car wasn’t a waste of money.

I'm only halfway through this video and it's already tiers above any other clutch control video I've seen, and I've seen like most of them. Very good job man.

In my first 3 days of practicing a manual car I was always stalling. But after I watched this video I never stalled again. Thanks Richard.

Thank you from the US! Best channel I’ve ever seen for teaching stick. With your videos I’ve gone from never setting foot in a manual vehicle to daily driving one in a week.

Driven a manual since I got my licence in 2000. My dad did his best teaching me but definitely lots of by feel strategies were taught to me. So I am really enjoying these videos, so much clarity now ha! And I'm still learning alot! Thanks Richard😊

I'm a learner driver and I've had no problems with clutch control until I strated with driving school; I'd only been driving older cars where gas was necessary to get moving every time, and now I was driving a diesel with a more "touchy" clutch. This helped me with what to think about and I'd like to thank your simple way of explaining things!

One thing I’ve learned through my own learning of manual is that goal 1 is to be able to confidently get on the road and get where you need, whether the methods you do are “best” or not, so you can actually practice the best ways without fear. For example my first few days dailying manual, I was shifting into first and getting revs just as the cross traffic light turned yellow, so that all I had to do was get off the clutch properly. This allowed me to erase the fear of stalling, and focus on getting the timing and feel better comfortably

Thanks richard, this topic was driving me crazy (pun intended)as my instructor would tell me one thing and youtube would tell me another. But eventually I tried all methods and found out that gas and then clutch is the best way and feels more natural to me.

God damn it, why is it so hard for most instructors to explain some of these things, like 9:34? Thank you so much!

Your videos are so helpful and make me feel a lot more confident about clutch control and other basics that sometimes aren't explained that well in actual driving lessons. Thanks for taking the time to make them!

I'v been driving motorcycles for 10 years, and used to drive my dad's Ford 150 which was a pretty easy clutch control. I just bought a 07 Mustang Gt and I'm finding the clutch control moving from stop through 1st more difficult. Your videos are so so helpful my friend. From Houston Tx.
