Rules of making bootlegs transformers

1. Make them oversized from the original figures.
2. If you're gonna cheap out, apply as little paint as possible.
3. Make the joints inconsistent
4. Always include 1 step changers or legends class in your line up. Oversizing them is optional.

Same rules apply to other stuff like Gunpla and Marvel Legends figures

I think the transforming watch is an original design. The Real Gear watch-robot not only had a different transformation, it never included a working watch face for reasons that noone was able to discern. The piece of plastic used to stand in for a working watch played no role in the transformation. Jin Saotome (Jin's Dangerous Toys) almost immediately turned out a custom where he replaced the fake watch with a real watch body and the toy was improved by the change.

It amuses me how these days, there are garbage bootlegs, and then there are 3rd party figures that actually SURPASS Hasbro. Like if it wasn’t for black mamba, I never would have been able to experience the Battletrap and SS102 Optimus prime molds for a decent price.

23:48 the original DOTM studio series prime has that grill issue, and so do all the other remolds. I bought the 5 pack and at first the prime was fine and the grill was perfect, but that was for only one transformation and it started splitting apart again. What also sucked is that the hands are not 5mm all the time and cannot hold all the weapons the primes come with. My DOTM prime cannot hold his sword, and same with the Movie pack, and vice versa with movie packs weapons.

i also have baiwei optimus prime v1 and v2, v2 for me only has lose legs any not broken thankfully v1 when it arrive it was all good but after 4 months the smoke stacks broke with the arms both are really fragile and must be handle with care do not buy the figure for kids the box says its for 6+ i think its better for adult collectors have these figures for better care
