Everyone seems to be talking about El Salvador and its President Nayib Bukele. Just a few years ago, El Salvador was dubbed Murder Capital of the World, but today it is safer than most countries in the Americas! In this video I travel to El Salvador, from the capital city San Salvador where I talk to the locals about what they think of the changes, travelling to the famous Lake Coatepeque, hiking the Santa Ana Volcano, visiting towns along the Ruta de las Flores like Juayua and Salcotitan, and ending my time on the Pacific coastline. El Salvador and its people have been through tough times, but things are looking optimistic for the future, and the country has so much natural beauty to explore.

My wife and I went to El Salvador in 2023. We stayed in San Salvador for 3 days its a beautiful city the people are amazing. I felt safer in el Salvador than I do in my own city of Chicago. President Bukele has turned his country into a safe place to live. Viva El Salvador 🇸🇻

I used to work at one of the best and most well known coffee roasters here in Australia... really amazing coffee we would buy from Africa, Latin America etc... The best Single Origin coffees were always the ones from Central America and East Africa... they were just on another level of flavour and complexity. Would love to visit El Salvador one day... what an amazing turn around. I wish Bukele would fix all of Latin America which is currently being overrun by narco's, corrupt politicians, etc... My Peruvian mother always wanted Peru to have someone like Lee Kwan Yu from Singapore to turn Peru around, and now Latin America has an example in Bukele.

I had the pleasure of traveling to El Salvador from New York to celebrate my 50th birthday. All I can say is
Such a beautiful clean and safe place with so much history. The Papusas were delicious!!! The people were so inviting and kind. U.S. currency is the only currency they use as well. Can’t wait to go back and explore El Salvador even more!❤
