Yield: 1 cup
2 cups fresh basil leaves, (no stems)
2 tablespoons chopped blanched almonds (without skin)
2 large cloves of garlic
½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Instead of blanched almonds, you can also use walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews...

Oh, I never thought of cashews. Personally, I don't like pine nuts. Therefore, I think that is why I am not a fan of pesto. Now, I will give it another try with your recipe!!! Thank you.
