You have such confidence in the way your raising your daughter is the right way. It sounds like she is not even grown yet and you are not even able to tell how your way works.
My wife was raised very traditionally, opposite of what you describe, and is the best women I know.

My daughter will be three in December. It’s been one hell of a journey so far. When are things that I’ve enjoyed most is watching this little personality grow she’s such a big spirit and she’s so strong and determined.

I have a little girl who will be 4 in a couple of months. Unfortunately, her mom and I broke our relationship when she was 1 1/2 years old. I have my daughter 3 days a week for the entire day. It’s a bit hard on me since I am alone and older ( early 50’s ) but I love spending time with her. Her mom loathes her in that my daughter reminds her of me... sad. So I play mom and dad... I let her watch me cook, wash clothes, and at the same time, plenty of horsey rides on my back, picking her up pretending that she’s flying, etc... and 1 -1 times with reading and other crafts. Sometimes I think I may be over doing it but I’m trying to compensate for the love that she doesn’t get living with her mom. Is that wrong, I wonder? 🤔
