We rarely hear about the male experience of pregnancy and preparing for a new baby. Great video!

My little girl was born day before yesterday and holy crap hearing someone else talk about the anxiety of feeling like a failure just removed a huge weight off my chest. Thanks bro.

To all the men making an effort trying to be a good dad and comforting your partner who just gave birth: your women are proud of you and you are gold.

The birthing classes helped saved my sister's life. My mum brought her home, she was born premmie, and not long after during a feed she flat out stopped breathing. Dad was able to give her CPR, keeping her alive, until the ambulance arrived and they got her to hospital safely (: Dad is so greatful he went to those classes so he was all brushed up on giving CPR to infants. Definately worth it whether you think you'll need it or not!

You're right about the ultrasound tip, my wife is 5 months and I go to every doctor's appointment and ultrasound. Every time I see our baby, I start to shed a tear in the doctors office lol

All of that nervousness proves you’re are great dad. Don’t be afraid, you’re never alone.

When my wife and I found out we were pregnant I remember being so excited. I wanted to learn everything there is to know about being a dad. I was dissapointed to find out that there just wasn't much material, literature, or videos about being a new dad. And I asked my wife especially about books, why does every book address the mom and not both the mom and dad, even when it isn't about something specific to the mom? I was just stunned and was wondering if I was doing something wrong. I heard that, while acknowledging all the great fathers in our lives and in the past, most dads were very distant and aloof during the whole ordeal and felt their role was not in the nurture and care for their baby. I want that to change. The very fact that dads can experience post-partum depression proves that dads can be just as emotionally and practically invested in their child's lives as their mother. Thank you for making this video.

Im seeing so many heart broken mamas who can’t have their partners in the appointments with them :( I’m hoping this helps ease some anxiety. My husband drives me to all of my appointments and waits in the car. Knowing that he’s near by and knowing he’ll be there as soon as I come out is comforting considering he can’t come in. What I do is record/FaceTime him to share experiences together (even if we’re sharing the experience a few minutes after leaving the appointment) it helps him feel included and it helps me feel connected.

As a new father, I can tell you that this is 100%, listen to it twice if you didn't get it the first time. This was my entire experience like he was there with me.

My husband and I were 7 minutes into this video last Monday evening when my water broke and contractions started. Now we’re at home with our 6-day-old son and just finished watching the video while up for an early morning breastfeeding session. Thank you for this content and honesty. You’ve given us knowledge + laughs, the best way for new parents to learn (second only to the inescapable trial-and-error learning, anyway). :-)

My wife and I went to her first appointment. I did a lot of research. I was told that I am not allowed to see the doctor. That definitely hurt me, so I became upset and didn’t even want to do FaceTime (I was an entitled baby). I was told I would not be able to meet the doc until the delivery. I was now upset that I wouldn’t be able to get a sense if my wife was in good hands. I’m not usually soft, but I went home and teared. Prayed God and realized I had to be strong for wifey. She had an appointment 2 days later and sent me the ultrasound. That changed my perspective big time. The first trimester is tough on dads too. I need to learn how to be more supportive, bcuz she definitely deserves to have a great first pregnancy. COVID19 sucks! But I’M GOING TO BE A DADDY! God willing of course 🙏🏿

I can't imagine the moms who don't have boyfriend/husband and have to get trough the labor alone. Men are so important support in that moment (and after) i can't imagine myself in labor without my man.
