How I fixed my 2002 F150 transmission for $5.00

Listen my man I don't know if you check your messages or comments on YouTube but I hope you get this alert... I was literally about to Drop my truck off at the transmission shop.. I woke up this morning research a couple more videos that came upon this great Advice.. You just save me $1500, I'm so excited I can't even speak thank you for this information God-bless you..

I can not thank you enough, man. I was stuck on the side of I-95, five hundred miles from home. The transmission seemed to be stuck in 2nd gear. I knew that it couldn't be a simple case of a transmission gone bad. There were no previous warnings of transmission failure and the O/D light was flashing nonstop.

With out-of-state license plates this could have easily cost upwards of $1500... easily.

I'm no mechanic by a long shot. So what to do?? Then there was you! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this information out there.

With six billion people on the planet, I figured at least a dozen may have had a similar experience lol. Whew!

7 years after this video was made and it’s still helping people! Can’t thank you enough. I did so much research on solenoids and dropping transmission pans. $5 at Walmart and the thing shifts perfectly and has overdrive again! You’re the man.

Dude!!! You are freaking awesome. This is the exact problem that happened to my truck. Not only was the OD light flashing but the check engine light came on and it had 17 codes pop up. I researched this problem for 3 weeks ...you tube videos...talking to mechanics and even brought a transmission expert over here with an 8700$ scan tool and test drove it to no avail. Thanks to you the problem is solved. I was throwing parts at this truck and was losing hope. Thanks again young man....you are freaking awesome!

2023 and this video is still helping people out. I had a transmission error on my 2007 Ford F150 and a single 15amp fuse solved this problem - just like you described it here. Can't thank you enough!

I’m beyond thankful for posting this video. You’ve done an amazing job helping me with my truck. A mechanic replaced the steering column of my f150 and messed up the overdrive. They wanted me to leave my truck with them so they can replace sensors inside the transmission. I told them that the transmission was working fine before I took it to them.
Thanks to you video I was able to fix my problem and prove how dishonest those mechanics are.

I have had mine for like a month, no issues other than it's love for gas. Up until three days ago. Run rough and made like an on going whine or nonstop moan, but if I turned my wheel to the right it stopped, I really don't think it was steering pump. My over drive light kept turning it's self on. Not flashing. I just checked all my fluids about a week ago. All good, no issues. Then when all this started I checked em again I was real low on oil. Can't tell where that leak or issue is yet. But I am going now to check fuses, Oh if I had a brother that was a mechanic I would feel so lucky, if this turned out to be a fuse I would never talk trash about another Ford. Mine seems too severe for that to fix it, but I am so hopefull!! Thanks for sharing!!

Broooo story goes like this....I own a 1999 f150 4.2l and I had my transmission all of a sudden start to not engage in 5th gear. Then when I got to a light it was slow taking off and slow shifting up gears...It ran good in 3rd and 4th gear...so we made it home...and we found your video...Our problem was fuse #24...the 18 fuse was good...24 fuse also has to do with the transmission ... You saved our asses...I think it blew cause I found the original lighter that goes into the socket and I guess it blew the fuse cause it was just yesterday that I put the lighter in the DC socket... Awesome right..God Bless you brother.

I bought my 2003 F150 for $1, 000. Shortly after the transmission would only operate in second. I talked to a few guys with way more mechanical knowledge than me and most of their guesses involved more money than I had. I watched your video and HOLY CRAP! My truck had the same exact issue as yours. There was actually a box of 15 amp fuses in the glove box. I checked for the blown fuse just like in your video and it was blown, I replaced it and it worked! Not only, that but a couple days later I accidentally turned on the AC, which hadn't been working, now it's working too! Coincident? I don't care! The truck runs great even though it has 188k miles on it. I just make sure I've got plenty fuses in the glove box.

My best friend from Montreal Canada Canadian Tire wanted to charge me $2, 330 for a rebuilt tran and istallation i almost did it but a 2 dollar fuze fixed the problem i love you man thanks thanks thanks i million times no i mean 2330 times some times the most obvious is what it is thanks again. Well I couldn’t believe it myself if I had not see it with my own eyes. Symptoms were exactly the same as described. 99 5.4 xlt was behaving badly and gave it one last try with this video. On start up it was back to normal! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

On my 01 Ford f350 the wires on the gear shift lever had rubbed together enough to expose the bare wires. Which would cause a fuse to blow. Your over drive light may be flashing as an indicator as well

this helped me out of no where my tow hall started flashing and truck would shake a lot and when i would drop in gear it would go and it seem liked it wanted to turn off when i gased it switch the 15 fuse amp and now runs good as new thanks 🔥🔥

Thank For the video, have this problem just check fuse number 23, 15 amp, was bad, just changed look ok, thank you so much again, mechanic say i need rebuild the TOOOODAYY!!!!

Awesome video, checked the number 23 fuse it was missing, , the local garage charged 132$ to run a scan ask us to buy a transmission and return so they could install it 🤨 15 amp fuse runs like a new truck out 400$ in parts and service charges that were not necessary,
