Bambu Lab X1 3D Printer Clog & Block in Nozzle and Extruder Quick Fix

preview_player
Показать описание
One of my quick fixes for a clogged nozzle on the Bambu Lab X1 3D Printer, without having to push the clog through with a hot Allen key. Basically, I found clogs are often un-dry filament on the X1. I remove the nozzle, heat the nozzle, heat an Allen key to melt into the block, let cool and pull it out.
(Be careful using this method and use at your own risk)

I appreciate this! I was about ready to toss my hot end before I found this video, 5 mins later I was printing again, heated up an allen wrench and pulled it right out!

Thanks for the video. Had my first clog last night with nylon and saw your video. Very easy to follow .

Thanks so much! I was already losing patience with AMS, it has only given me problems since I got it. Jams, errors, it's supposed to make life easier not more complicated. haha.

I heated up the screwdriver with the candle and stuck it in the back, very easy!

Worked like a Charm. At first I didn't think it would because my extruder clogged with PC+ Filament. Did exactly like you stated; I used a smaller allen key though, and heated it up with a lighter and waited 30 seconds after a hard push and hold. Walla! Came out so EASY. Thanks!

I was having an issue that the filament was not retracting. I had taken apart the assembly but couldn't find a problem, and, when re-installing it previously, I had failed to return the cutter blade into its proper slot. The blade had been sitting outside the assembly. Talk about missing the obvious! 😆 On a side note, I discovered when playing a YouTube video, holding down the space bar (Mac) speeds up the video/audio, while still understandable. Wish I knew that along ago. Merry Christmas!

Good information here. But, if you have a real clog in the nozzle that the extruder gears have been grinding on the filament for awhile, the only way to remove it is to remove the extruder and take it apart. I have found no way what-so-ever to get that flattened filament past the extruder gears. Trust me I have tried. I have had 3 clogged nozzles with only printing PLA in 2 weeks. I printed with my Prusa for over 2 years and never had a clogged nozzle. That is a bummer about the X1.

I was monitoring a print on my Bambu Lab X1C while away from home and as it finished I called my partner and asked her to turn the printer off, she turned off the power button but she must have done it before the filament had retracted back and I got a message confirming this error and now it is completley blocked and the AMS wont budge at all, I consider this the price of education!, it could be a nozzle clog or a clog in the gearing, I will try the nozzle first though.
I am thinking of getting the third party hotend that takes the volcano style CHR nozzles as this will be much cheaper than replacing the whole BL unit, the advantage of this is that fast prints will have an increase in quality as they will now be able to produce the correct flow rate.

To avoid clogs with nylon use 0.6 nozzle. 0.4 is bad choice!

Why not take that yellow triangle sticker off? It probably blocks a ton of airflow.

did that PLA break during print of filament changes?

So not possible to heat it up and push some filament through?

Question: Is the nozzle temperature set at 250c whilst you're doing all this, including touching the heatsink?

I imagine you're doing it from cold... then setting at 250, and getting on with it before the heatsink gets hot?

Well... in I go... I'll find out for sure in a few mins! :D

I think that is going to be the major ongoing problem with this printer, not having a cheap easy to replace nozzle like all other FDM printers. I have always solved 99% of my clogs with a 50 cent nozzle replacement.

Having exact problem now, but can NOT get extra piece of filament down extruder. The gears moves freely when I took it off… 🤷🏽‍♂️ at this point
