I was so involved in my two bathroom renovations which I designed after years of thought. Those niches require a lot of thought in design and tile and shelf layout. I can’t tell you the number of sites I went to to see how to do it. But the most important feature was to have at least 14 inches length from the bottom shelf to the second bc that’s where you put all those darn pump bottles of shampoo you buy and you need room to pump them with your hand so you don’t have to take them off the shelf. And they have to be on the bottom shelf bc of the pressure you use when you press the pump. In a tub shower combo you might need a shelf to go as low as the tub for the kids to put their soap shampoo and then a shelf about midway high for your shampoos and soaps. That makes for a very long shelf in that tub shower. Then drill a hole about 1 1/2 inches in at least one of the shelves to put your razor. (If you don’t have little children in there) or use those holes to place almost used shampoo bottles upside down to get those last drops! I made those holes in my corner shelves for razors. Contractors loved that idea. I like those mosaic tiles you used. They are beautiful and good for traction on a bathroom floor. When you make bathroom niches use nice background tile. It will make you smile when you look at it. Even with all your stuff in there! Have a nice weekend🙂 Margaret
