An easy one. After several POTA activations around me, I found a SOTA summit near me. W0D/ES-002. A 1 pointer but at least I could break the ice before winter and give it a try. Also trying out a rig for what it was made for. I used an ATS 3b mountain topper I built from a kit from Steve KD1JV fame. The summit had last been activated 2016. The term Summit is definitely a stretch here. Located in Eastern South Dakota. In one view at the start you can see into Minnesota and see that we are indeed higher up here. I was fortunate enough to have W6TED call me Summit to Summit! W6/CT-020 Mt Palomar. Thanks Ted!
