This is probably the least serious video that I have made to date!

Harley & I have known each other since we were kids but haven't actually seen each other for around 5-10 years. With the easing of lockdown restrictions here in the UK, we decided to meet up & do a joint SOTA activation.

This video was supposed to document our joint SOTA activation of Fan Fawr (GW/SW-005).

It very quickly (from the first scene) got derailed & descended into a video about two friends pratting about on a SOTA summit & not taking it very seriously!

The Amateur Radio UK channel is run by UK radio amateur M0GQC (James). As the channel name would suggest, the channel focuses primarily on amateur radio within the UK!!!

Congratulations to Harley! Since this video was filmed, he has taken & passed the intermediate exam.

Well.. That weekend was certainly needed for the pair of us.

I can't help wondering how many people got the Fawlty Towers reference?

I think most of my UK viewers would have picked up on it but I'm not sure about viewers in other countries.

Unless you've watched Fawlty Towers (specifically the episode titled "The Germans"), then the funny walk that Harley did may have seemed a bit strange & the joke may have gone over your head!
