Erratum: USD _export_ was introduced in Blender 2.82, USD _import_ was added last week and will be part of Blender 3.0

I find it's fine to export and re-import from Blender to Blender. Let's see a real example where you export from Blender to another piece of software. That's where stuff breaks or doesn't work as expected.

USD on paper sounds amazing. No matter what software you use, you can take all your scene/assets and easily transfer from one software to another. In reality it doesn’t really work that great, so many hoops to jump though. Hopefully it will get there one day, but def not there yet.

I really appreciate blender of its existence because many poor developers cant afford costly animation and modelling platform so I really appreciate blender because it's completely free

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the purpose of USD to work with other 3d programs? it was a nice demo, but i think it would serve a better purpose if we can see it export out of blender to another software package like houdini solaris
