A parent thinking about what her child was thinking or saying or screaming as a monster is brutally beating that parent's child to death, has to be absolute torture. I often hear parents who have lost children to murder feel guilty for not being there; that they wonder if their child was screaming out for them in hopes of being saved from the evil that is taking their life. Just the thought of parents thinking that is beyond devastating and heartbreaking.

I don’t know why I torture myself with these stories. They always leave me feeling devastated and empty. These poor children. No child deserves this kind of treatment. I often find myself imagining being the age of the child in each story. Imagining how I would have felt when I was their age if those things happened to me. You know, I was over at my mom’s house on Sunday. I accidentally almost scratched my niece with my thumb, and I felt awful. She didn’t even cry or have a mark. How anyone can be ok doing this to children is beyond me! These precious babies don’t deserve this. The mom also didn’t deserve to have her baby ripped away from her like that.

There was girl Tanya who babysat my daughter for over a year. Baby to just over a yr old. She was great with my daughter & my daughter was always happy around her. She babysat other kids as well, no complaints.
She was good with kids.
Years later she had her own baby.
She shook and threw her baby down the stairs. Her baby did not survive
It was a sad shock and I felt it to my core.

Everyone is talking about how much they trusted Karen, and that terrifies me. Because if she was actually trustworthy (which I doubt), it means that anyone we put our trust in, to care for our children, no matter how reputable, can snap at any time and hurt our little treasures. And if she was never trustworthy to begin with? It means all those parents missed or ignored the red flags, and that there's probably numerous other children hurt by her that we just don't know about yet.

Everyone says they can't understand why this happened because Karen was so good with kids. But the thing is... those other kids were kids she WANTED to be around. Kids from HER friends and HER family and the two that were with her boyfriend when SHE came into his life? They were all safe. But this baby she didn't want to watch? She's dead. She's a selfish woman. While i understand being upset a kid was basically dumped on you and she was drunk, that's no excuse to harm the child. She should have called someone for help or to vent. The moment she turned her anger on the innocent little girl was the moment she became a monster. Karen has, unfortunately, lived up to the meme in the most horrifically violent way.
