Teen Claims Deputies Entered Home Without Permission

Ceidy Cordova was horrified when she saw Los Angeles County deputies inside her apartment on her home surveillance camera. The mom desperately tried to call out to officers over the camera. However, the confrontation between cops and her daughter became heated. Later, both her daughter and 14-year-old son were put into handcuffs. As Inside Edition's Jim Moret reports, there's now a dispute over why deputies were in the home and what prompted them to handcuff the kids.

I had a police officer come to my house when i was 17 once, and under law he was not allowed to speak to me without my parents being present. This is beyond disgusting.

This family should sue this sheriff's department for violating first and fourth amendment rights. All these officers involved in the case should be fired for this.

This is disgraceful behavior. I don't blame the mom for being upset & angry. There is a right & a wrong way to deal with certain situations.

She’s underage and cannot legally give them permission to enter the apartment. They should have never entered unless they personally heard someone screaming for help.

Comply with what?!?! She was doing absolutely nothing wrong!!!! She simply walked up to them calmly and they literally grabbed her and put her in cuffs!!!! WTF!!! Poor Girl! You need to become an attorney and fight for people that have things like this happen to them!!! So wrong!!!!

This is why for both law enforcement and the public/ people that all police officers, no matter if it's state, local, or Sheriff need to have bodycams. And if they had bodycams they need to release them so that we all can hear what the officers were saying to the kids. Bodycams keep everyone honest. Just as dashcams do for all of us.

Not surprising, but very disappointing. I had two undercover officers outside of my apartment taking pictures of my car, and they came to my door. I answered, and they stepped up to me. I put my hand up and said “yeah do you have a warrant?” And one of them pushed past me, had me in handcuffs saying I had just assaulted an officer. Turns out they had the wrong apartment, but they held me in my home searching it illegally for over an hour. The majority of law enforcement is full of tyrants.

I always keep my doors locked...middle of the day, middle of the night, doesn't matter...nobody is coming in to my house unless they break down the door. Hope these kids get some justice, they're going to be scarred and extremely weary of cops for the rest of their lives.

Honestly this is an abuse of power. They had no search warrant so technically it’s illegal for them to enter. And what makes my blood boil the most, is that they didn’t apologize

Remember, never let any cops in if they don't have a search warrant. Have them show their warrant through the peep hole or window, or if they don't have one, tell them to come back with one.
