Thanks for this ! Have now one of this little Beast as MT Version with I7 8700 and an RTX 3060 12Gb, 32Gb Ram, SFX Psu. Use only for VR Gaming and my Sim Rig without Monitor. Works fine.

I have had few of these I bought barebone, no ram or cpu. I am typing this on a HP 800 G4 SFF, I only play a couple of lightweight games so G5400, 32gb DDR4 and Arc A310 with the stock 250w Psu, I really like that style of desktop.

4core of i5 6500 is very weak pairing it with a 3060 would bottleneck the hell out of it. I suggest go with an i7 6700 or if possible get a newer generation with more that 4 core (I have i5 6500 so I know it)

Recently bought one of these to use as a Plex Server. It came with 8gb of Ram and crappy 128GB SSD, swapped it out for 1 tb NVME and put in 48GB of ram. Not sure if i want to swap out the power-supply, not even sure what it has, but i will eventually put in a Graphics card, nothing great, something with about 4gb of VRAM.

Next time, please try the Intel Core i7-7700K, which is the maximum CPU supported by that PC, and share your results.

Thank you so much for the video, super helpful. I now have great confidence to upgrade the PSU for HP Prodesk 600 G4 MicroTower, which is on the way, hopefully it’ll not be much different. This is my first time doing this, as I’m not a gamer but interested in one game so I’m looking at RTX3060. Found a PSU on Ali Express for 550W, my concern is that I’m not sure what is the input voltage, my country is 220-240V, are all PSUs have universal 110-240V voltage? The seller is not responding to chat. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

does the stock 250W PSU come with 8 pin for dedicated GPU? I am thinking to upgrade such a PC with a GPU but smaller one like Arc A380 or GTX 1650
