Its Amazing that 4 cylinders can now compete with older v8s and v8s in general, but the personality of the v8 is most definitely the most catching part of it

It was a pointless flex by AMG/Merc. Nobody asked or wanted it and it’s showing. Should’ve went with a 6 cylinder hybrid instead. A 4 banger was too big a drop off for the car.

In 2030 Mercedes will introduce a Subscription based service which would pump synthetic V8 engine noise into the cabin. There will be 3 tiers of subscription starting from $49.99 per month.

What I'm wondering is, does Mercedes REALLY sell enough C63s that they needed to go with a 4 cylinder hybrid powertrain? Did the V8 really affect fleet emissions that much? They didn't even step down from a V8 to their inline-6 for the AMG models to soften the blow. Just STRAIGHT to a 4 banger.

C63 Black Series is my ultimate dream car. Almost didn't click because of the 4cyl but glad I did! I'd maybe include Black Series in the title. Nice review
