I drove many different performance cars and I know for experience that a 4 cylinder will never be as "smooth" as a 6 or 8 cylinder engine.
It has insane power and I'm sure it will be very fast but the driving experience will never be as with the old V8 or the inline 6 of BMW.
I'm a little disappointed that only very few journalists are pointing this out.

It’s a shame they didn’t even go with 6 cylinders, straight to a45 engine that’s already on its brink even though the people who buy these cars usually enjoy tuning them further. AMG lost the plot, no amount of power and ambient lighting will be enough.

She 'forgot' to mention biggest elephants in the room - the weight, the huge hump in the trunk and the fact that it won't be available in US :( so I guess I will be keeping my 6.2L V8 e63 wagon for now

The looks of the car is splendid, spot on! But... go buy the M3 Touring instead with it's great 6-cylinder engine without any specific speaker to make something sounds like something it's not instead of this 4-cylinder...

At the end it's still speaker amplified sound and your mind knows it..The feeling of the v8 is gone, my y13 c63 has that deep rumbe that gets through your bones you can feel the engine vibration and raw power while reving from 30 up.. am sure ain't 2l will deliver that sensation

I’m just waiting for the drive reviews to come out, I really want to see if this beast can silence all the critics. I love the idea of it, but for any future model, they need to try and bring the weight down. She’s a heavy, heavy car now…

Like the other MBUX equipped interiors, it's gorgeous and wears its interior as well as its exterior.

But what we REALLY WANT is the HYPERSCREEN.

A sweeping display that gives the driver two displays and the passenger in front a usable display as well.

Mercedes currently has 3 interiors: The A-class, the MBUX and the Hyperscreen.

Hopefully, the next generation of Mercedes products will be all Hyperscreen.

I really like the exteriors of the new c's. Never was a fan of the interior disco lights, seems tacky. As far the sound is concerned it seems like merc implemented a solution to a question no one asked. Can't wait for you guys to get this on the road. Question is, can it outrun a m3 comp?
