No, they are taught to faint like that because their weapons are actually loaded with live rounds. So they need to make sure they dont go off.

It's actually not weather most of the time but lack of blood flow from standing still for so long. They are taught to wiggle their toes to prevent this

it’s not just weather. the queens guards are expected to stand for ages not moving at all until it is time to change guards. this can be overwhelming especially on days like coronations as they stand for over 6 hours in the sun and rain. this will often force them to faint. your reason is true but another reason they faint like that is to avoid accidentally shooting themselves or another soldier by lying on the gun they carry at all times. hope that helps x

I was a cadet for a bit, and we had passing out parade. If someone had to faint, or felt like they had to, they had to kneel down on one knee and wait for a medic to come help them. On the other hand, some would simply just pass out and we’d wait till the end of the ceremony.

They faint because when you lock your legs like them it cuts off the blood flow. It happens in the US Military too.
