On top of all that there was a street guitarist playing in the background and that guitarist was Keith Richards

The idea of having to live out the rest of my life and insane asylum during that time period is terrifying

Those two pistols were later test fired, and both pistols fired normally. The pistols were not defective, and we're loaded properly by Lawrence. To this day, nobody knows why those pistols misfired when they shouldn't have misfired.

Jackson fought so many duels we lost count. It's said that he had been wounded so many times that he "rattled".

Now that's a great story that deserves to be remembered. Thanks.

What even crazier is that Richard Lawrence demanded to be paid in $20 bills.

Two more connections: David Crockett was a member of the Anti-Jackson Party. Crockett was against Cherokee removal. However, he would not allow Jackson to be murdered.
Francis Scott Key's son became quite the ladies man. He went about Washington DC bedding women, sometimes married women.
One such woman was the wife of another cad named Daniel Sickles. Sickles often took his mistresses to high society social events. His wife had enough and began her relationship with Key, Jr. When Mr Sickles found out he forced his wife to write out detailed a confession, went to find Keys, and shot him on a crowded street.
Immediately Sickles walked to his dear feiend's home who happened to be the US Attorney General to turn himself in.
Sickles was the first man to be acquitted due to "temporary insanity."

Hey, watch a movie on the history channel called Andrew Jackson, it came out in 2009. My twin daughters were the two Native American little girls in the movie. We filmed at two locations and they played two different parts in the movie the first location was the Disney golden Oak Ranch and the second location was an old army fort Near Bakersfield, California. we are originally from Southern California. My girls were seven and then they turned eight during filming. Now they just turned 27 years old on December 9th

The main square in the old New Orleans French Quarter is "Jackson Square". Andrew defeated the British on the East side of the Mississippi River and saved N.O. from capture. Remember the song?? In 1814 we took a little trip along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip. We took a little bacon and we to a little beans and we fought the mighty British for the town of New Orleans.

I never had this information until this video. More things not mentioned in our history books. It could have been a fun fact to keep the kids awake.❤❤❤

All the myths about Chuck Norris were first about Andrew Jackson

How did I miss this in school. All we learned about in history class was about pilgrims and bad Indians. Oh, and cotton mills.
