Adapted from the beloved literary classic, THE CALL OF THE WILD vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team--and later its leader--Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.

As a live-action/animation hybrid, THE CALL OF THE WILD employs cutting edge visual effects and animation technology in order to render the animals in the film as fully photorealistic--and emotionally authentic--characters.

Why do people hate this movie *for me ITS natural* because this film ia a heartwarming adventure that teaches US that nature can help US find who we really are so please don't hate this film because Ita PG not 13+ and this film inspired me and i think the cgi is great because were in 2020 not 2030 /2100 and if its if you think that cgi is easy to make well ur wrong this is one of the best cgi Ive ever seen and if you think ITS easy then make one your. Self of u have to hate and do you know snow buddies in total 5 dogs died on the making of the movie so Disney doesnt want dogs to die again in anymore making in there film so have a heart Will ya😭

I'm pretty sure they could've trained a real dog to play a part in the movie. To me, the CGI just sort of ruins the feeling that everything is supposed to be real

As a person Who read the book Which this movie depends on. I think I have an explanation:

The book has many points where Buck's (The Dogs) life gets in danger. So, If they used an actual dog, some places in the story is so dangerous the real dog COULD HAVE DİED. Even If the dog would overcome all that, the Animal Proctectors would be REALLY MAD and could even sue them.
