Nobody EVER talks about if you have to water it in after planting? Or on a consistent basis? I have asked many influencers that have done videos on garlic without an answer 🙃

If they don't show a sprout this year, you must mark off their area, or risk digging them up in the spring.
We have a lot of problems growing garlic and onions in northern MN. Summer is too short and either too wet or too dry.
I grow walking onions pretty well, but it takes years to get an established bed that will get enough onions to make a profitable harvest.

I roll like this: I eat my garlic and collect all the smøl ones I am too lazy to peal. Those are the ones I plant when the garlicball is eaten up. So I always have fresh garlic leaves to eat over the winter and all through year direct in the kitchen window. Same with the onions..
