To update Plex just add these two Terminal Commands ie Log into Raspberry Pi and then Paste each one then press enter for each one
then
then do a
"sudo apt update"
then
"sudo apt full-upgrade"
you only have to do this once and after woulds you can just use the "sudo apt update" then "sudo apt full-upgrade" to update Plex, will add the Commands into a new image when i make a new one very soon :)

You're a life saver. Thank you very much for this. I've been struggling to do everything from scratch and wasted almost a full day on this. Your image works like a charm.

This is a great tutorial. I added the Plex repository, ran a sudo update command and now everything's up to date. Awesome!

Amazing tutorial - super easy to follow and thanks for the image (especially the latest one). I haven't seen a Bullseye (OMV 6) image with Plex working yet and this works great! SOOO much easier than fiddling with Portainer images.

Do I need to setup folders for appdata or transcribe or will Plex figure that out on it's own?

Hi Eyerex. over 1 year ago I installed your
"Easy Raspberry Pi 4 OpenMediaVault / Plex Install" v2
It has worked 100% incl. update / upgrade several times.
Last time upgrade (03.10.2021) does not work.
Have downloaded your "New version for 2021 OMVPlex 2021 V1" Now it all works 100% again.
many thanks for your great work and the great videos.

Thank you for the excellent video. How much memory does the Pi 4 need to run OMV and Plex?

New version of OMVPlex for 2021 which is a nice clean install of the latest versions of Raspberry Pi OS and OMV and Plex as of 02/01/2021, the problem of using image on other Pi4's ie not mine where Pi wouldn't get an ip address should be fixed (an old image fully update worked fine so a bit odd) so fingers crossed everything works fine now

Apologies if this is a basic question but when you created the shares, you mounted your external drive. Once this is done will it automatically mount everytime the Raspberry Pi is rebooted or loses power?
Thanks for the video.

Great video!! Saved so much time compared to building from scratch with Docker and Portainer. Just a quick question, is it possible to run updates on OMV and PLEX or will it break the image?

I see Plex has a server update available, not sure whether ok to update it. :P

I am doing something wrong. When I take the sd card that has been flashed back to the rp4 it goes through a long sequence of commands then it stops at a point where it asks for my plex login. I have a plex account and a plex pass. Even though I enter my correct login info (checked and triple checked) it tells me the userid or password is incorret and wont move past that

You are Amazing...!!! after about 6 attempts at installing OMV and Plex together I was at the end of my tether...!!! Linux is not really my thing, I got a couple of Pi's working and got interested in the Geekworm Gemini nas for Pi (case for Pi + 2x 2 1/2" drives (SSD for me) pwm fan and safe shutdown power circuit) I was really ready to give up when I found this video and a couple of hours later it was running like a dream, with 1x 2TB SSD 80%+ full of Movies, TV and Music (on Plex) and 1x 2TB SSD along with the media available on my NAS, Just as I had dreamed of, now I just need to learn how to backup the SDcard ready for when it all falls apart lol Do you have any tips for backing up the system (imaging the SDcard)? Great Video, good commentary, fantastic download .... Thank You Thank You Thank You

Holy Cow! I've been flashing and refreshing my card because the "Easy Plex setup" videos and instructions have me typing in all kinds of commands and all of them break down at some point and cause problems. Who knew there was something this easy?

Question: Is this UK specific, or could I use the image in the US?
