This was the turning point for Batman when he realized he had been inspiring fear this whole time instead of hope and decided to protect the innocent.

The cinematography of this movie is on a whole another level. Greg Fraser did a great job on this film.

This is the single greatest ending in a Batman movie imo. Batman completing his personal character journey by drowning his unbridled vengeance and rage in the water and emerging out as a symbol of hope that guides the city's people out of the darkness is the most faithful moment in any Batman movie. This IS The Batman to me.

This ending was what made The Batman stick out from being just another comic book movie, idk why people complained about it. It was beautiful, he found out the hard way that vengeance wasn’t enough, he had to become more so he became a symbol of hope and led Gotham out of it’s darkest day. Him falling into the sea and re-emerging felt very much like a baptism for me.

A wise woman once said :
"If you can't imagine your version of Batman comforting a dying child, that's not Batman, that's the Punisher in a funny hat"
I can easily imagine this Batman doing that after this ending. Considering how good Reeves can get with sequels this trilogy may turn out to be something truly special.

People say this moment is a lowlight, but it's actually one of the best moments because it's like Batman's metamorphosis happening live in front of us, turning into a symbol of "Hope" from a symbol of "Vengeance".
And the soundtrack is just *chef's kiss*

what i love about this movie is that it breaks the superhero formula; the villain arguably 'wins' and the hero doesn't foil his plan in time. there is no physical final battle where the hero overpowers the main villain. but that the hero's victory is realizing/remembering he has to first and foremost help people and bring hope rather than destroy those he sees as evil and inspiring fear, because otherwise, there's very little separating him from the villain except that he doesn't kill. and because he doesn't fall into that philosophical/spiritual trap, because he made a stand for helping innocents rather than punishing the wicked is why good still technically wins. and because of that, you start to question the whole formula too - why /do/ we need to see someone physically or even psychologically overpowering a foe to see them as a hero?

That shot of Batman becoming the light and everyone following it. It's just so damn good combined with the hopeful music.

2:04 I love how other people are just too afraid to take the Batman's hand, but the boy, who lost his father, who desperately needs his hero, an idol, grabs his hand. Followed to the boy, people accept the Batman, as their hero. What a beautiful movie.

1:09 The symbolism and the storytelling via lighting is phenomenal. The police have failed Gotham, and the light of hope they were tasked to give has faded out as more and more of their corruption was exposed. Batman sees this and accepts that he must fill the role as the one who gives the people hope, as the light the guides them to safety. He sees the police car sink and the lights go out and he realizes in that moment that being vengeance is not the answer. He has to be justice and not just punish the guilty but protect the innocent as well, especially in the absence of a competent police force (Gordon not withstanding).

I love this scene, because in this movie, Batman' big enemy wasn't the Riddler, Falcone or Penguin. His enemy was himself.

don't understand how people say its bad, great message and the atmosphere is much better than any other batman movie

Honestly the majority of people who’s main gripe about this film was that it was boring are just too adjusted to MCU and DCEU films that are based around action and colours, rather than the message, dialogue and themes explored. This movie is beautiful, and is the best movie about Batman yet. The Dark Knight is a better movie granted, but people didn’t seem to grasp the fact that Reeves intentions were to never do what Joker 2019 did and be a one shot film, he’s building a universe that we will see progress over a multitude of forms of media. People just want an easy view nowadays which is quite frustrating as this movie deserves all the praise and more.

The BEST Batman moment ever! It truly captured what it means to be a hero. Batman falls as vengeance and emerges as a hero; the beacon of Hope that the city desperately needs. This always brings me to tears, the choice to help those instead of spreading fear and the character development Bruce goes through is just beautiful

Batman is my childhood hero. Robert did a great job as Bruce Wayne and Batman. I can't wait to see the sequel.

This and the moment Batman took the blame for Harvey Dent's crimes in "The Dark Knight" are the only two moments in any Batman film that have made me teary-eyed.
